Preschool Staff

 
Mindy Ferrell - Preschool Teacher, 2-3 Year Old Program
Mindy is new to the St. Andrew Preschool program. She is the lead teacher for the two and three year old preschool classes.  She has 15 years experience in the early childhood education field, including lead teacher and director of the Joyful Journey Christian Preschool at Bethany Baptist Church.  Mindy graduation from Stratford Career Institute in Washington, DC.  Is an Accredited Child Developmental Specialist wither her certification from the U.S. Department of Labor.  Mindy resides in St. Albans with her husband Charlie and attends Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Charleston. 
 
 
 
Hannah Shaw - Preschool Aide, 2-3 Year Old Program
Hannah is new to the St. Andrew Preschool Program.  She is an aide in the 2 and 3 year old class. Hannah is a 2017 graduate of Faith Christian Academy and graduate of Wright Way Bible Institute.  You may recognize her as a substitute in our program with our S.N.A.P. group.
 
 
 
 
Pam Varney - Preschool Teacher, 4-5 Year Old Program
Pam has been with the St. Andrew Preschool program for over ten years. She is the lead teacher for the four and five year old preschool classes. Pam attended West Virginia State for two years, specializing in Psychology and Sociology toward a degree in Social Work.   Pam completed and is certified in ACDS, Childhood Development Specialist.  Her goal for the four year old preschool program is to help the children to transition to Kindergarten. To prepare them to be successful in all of their coming school years.
 
 
 
Andrea Hudson - Preschool Aide, 4-5 Year Old Program
Andrea is the aide to the  St. Andrew Preschool four and five year old class.  Andrea lives in St. Albans with her husband and two children both of whom have attended the St. Andrew Preschool program.  Andrea is a member of the Grace Baptist Temple and is involved with the AWANAS and nursery ministries programs.  She works with the lead teacher in making the classroom academically and emotionally appropriate for all children.
